Rohit Saraf is set to take on a powerful new role in the upcoming Amazon Original series The Revolutionaries, directed by Nikkhil Advani. Also starring Pratibha Ranta, Bhuvam Bam, Gurfateh Pirzada and Jason Shah, the series marks a significant departure for Saraf in both look and performance. The recently released first look has generated strong reactions online, with audiences noting his striking transformation and controlled intensity.

The Revolutionaries mark Rohit Saraf’s boldest choice yet. After building a consistent body of work rooted in emotional depth, relatability, and softness from Mismatched to Ludo, this project signals a transformational shift. Saraf steps into a space that is rugged, layered and politically charged. It is not just a new role, but a new kind of responsibility as a performer. In choosing a character rooted in historical weight and national memory, Saraf proves he is unafraid to stretch beyond comfort and push narrative boundaries.
His performance brings a quiet strength and stillness to the screen, aligning with the tone of the show. Stepping into an uncharted territory is not an easy task, but Rohit Saraf does not plan on staying boxed into a single identity!
The Revolutionaries is based on Sanjeev Sanyal’s acclaimed book Revolutionaries: The Other Story Of How India Won Its Freedom. The story follows a group of young Indian freedom fighters who believed that armed resistance was essential to ending British rule. Currently in production, the show is being filmed across Mumbai, Amritsar, Varanasi and Dehradun. It is slated for release on Amazon Prime Video in 2026.
